Free Seminar – Heat Illness Prevention

Our prerecorded Heat Illness Prevention webinar is available for you to share with your clients now. As temperatures rise, so does the risk of heat illness in outdoor workers. Every year, hundreds of California workers die from heat-related illnesses. Because of the serious risk that heat can pose, Cal/OSHA strictly enforces its Heat Illness Prevention Standard at outdoor worksites. As a result, this regulation is one of the most frequently cited Cal/OSHA standards across all industries. During this free webinar, offered by State Compensation Insurance Fund – California’s workplace safety expert and one of the largest workers’ compensation insurers — employers will learn how to protect their employees from heat illness when working outdoors and how to avoid heat-related citations from Cal/OSHA.
Topics covered include:
- Ways of preventing heat illness in outdoor workers
- Signs and symptoms of heat illness and appropriate first aid/emergency response
- The requirements of Cal/OSHA’s Heat Illness Prevention Standard, T8CCR Section 3395
- What Cal/OSHA requires employers to include in a written Heat Illness Prevention Plan
- Common Cal/OSHA citations related to outdoor work in the heat
