Here are a few ways you can improve your policy experience after your coverage starts. You’ll want to make sure you bookmark this page in your browser so you can return to it later.
Sign into your State Fund Online account
After you receive your welcome email, sign into your State Fund Online account to view policy documents, make payments, report payroll, and request certificates of insurance and other policy-related items.
To log in, use the same username and password you created when you requested your policy quote. If you don’t remember your login info, you can reset your password.
Once you’ve logged in, you’ll have the option to submit payments and payroll reports online by opting into ePayments, ePayroll, and eDocuments . You’ll be notified of policy updates quickly, saving you time, and reducing paper.
To help you get the most out of your State Fund Online account, we have created a variety of short How-To guides to walk you through actions like How to Request a Certificate of Insurance, How to Read Your Invoice, How to File a Claim, and more. See all of our State Fund Online How-To Content.
Download your mandatory forms
Once your policy is active, you’ll need to download the following state-mandated forms:
- The Notice to Employees must be displayed at every worksite.
- The New Employee’s Guide to Workers’ Compensation and Employees Guide to State Fund MPN must be provided to employees at the time or hire or at policy inception.
Create your required workplace safety program
Having a safety plan isn’t just good business, it’s the law. You’re required by Cal/OSHA to have a workplace safety program, called an Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). We make it easy to create a safety plan through our IIPP Builder℠ in State Fund Online. Use the fast and easy tool to save your program and access it any time. It's also available in Spanish.

You may be eligible for a safety equipment grant
If you have employees who work at heights, and you work in carpentry, roofing, sheet metal, tree work, millwright, plumbing, wallboard installation, electrical, painting, scaffold, iron or steel works, or steel erection, your business may be eligible to receive free safety equipment. Keep an eye out in the next couple of weeks for an email with more information on State Fund’s Safety Equipment Grants program.
